  • A sprightly nod to British comfort food (for the homesick Brits) this café guarantees there is something for everyone to tuck into at Bar Mattino.
  • Held at the City Road Cafe, Chippendale, coffee and tea devotees will love these informative, interactive and delicious tasting sessions by Toby’s Estate Coffee & Tea Tastings. Check their listing for tasting times. Bookings are essential.

Balmain offers a wide range of competitively priced eateries especially on Darling St. Bring out your creative flair and try a Cake Decorating Workshop at Planet Cake or take an Italian Cooking Class at Cucina Italiana Cooking School.

Have a tasty meal before enjoying some of Sydney’s best live music. Some places have a young crowd with the University close by, tho every-one is welcome.

Try the award winning entertainment venue The Vanguard for a twist of New Orleans, it has a vibrant atmosphere with Live Jazz, Blues & Roots music.
Soni’s Newtown hosts after 5 cocktails and so the night goes on….. In the neighboring suburbs, the big old pubs personify nightlife in Balmain and nearby Rozelle.
